What I thought: Well this book was really good. I did seem to be missing something that the other books in the series had tho. I loved Stevie Rae in the other books but I didn't really care for her as much. She seems to be making decisions that are going to make things worse for Zoey. Damien, Jack, Erin and Shawnee seemed to take a backseat to Stark, Aphrodite, and Darius. I love Stark and seeing him grow up in this book! He is amazing!

Hunting Ground

What I thought: I really have loved watching Anna grow and become more confident in herself. She is starting to realize she doesn't have to be afraid.

Cry Wolf

What I thought: I really loved this book. From what I have read Patricia Briggs can do no wrong. I have like everything by her I have read!!!! I loved Anna and Charles kind of scared me which is what he does. I liked how he let her do what she needed to do and didn't feel like he had to protect her every step of the way.

What I thought: WOW what can I say. I love this series and I can't wait for the library to get the next one back in. I really want to know what happens next. I love the Adam and Mercy relationship and watching it grow as they both heal. I love that Mercy doesn't run to Adam every time something happens and only goes to Adam when she can't handle it on her own. I love that Adam doesn't get mad (or at least he doesn't stay mad).

Iron Kissed

Summary: When her former boss and mentor is arrested for murder and left to rot behind bars by his own kind, it's up to shapeshifting car mechanic Mercy Thompson to clear his name, whether he wants her to or not. And she'll have to choose between the two werewolves in her life-whether she wants to or not.

What I thought: Once again Patricia Briggs did not disappoint. I really think Adam is the best choice for Mercy. I don't think Sam would let her do what she needs to do. I think he would put her in a plastic bubble if he could. I really think Adam likes that she can do stuff on her own without going to him for every little thing. And believe me Mercy gets herself into some mischief in this book

Blood Bound

Summary: Mechanic Mercy Thompson has friends in low places-and in dark ones. And now she owes one of them a favor. Since she can shapeshift at will, she agrees to act as some extra muscle when her vampire friend Stefan goes to deliver a message to another of his kind.

But this new vampire is hardly ordinary-and neither is the demon inside of him.

What I thought: Well I have to say that this is starting to be one of my favorite series. I love Mercy and her independent attitude. You don't seem to get that anymore in books. All the girls seem to need a guy to take care of them for every little thing. I love how Mercy tries to deal with herself then if she can't she goes to someone else and the times she needs help are times that even Adam needs help dealing with it.

Dead in the Family

Summary: Sookie Stackhouse has finally settled into a relationship with the Viking vampire Eric, and her errant brother Jason seems to have his life in order, too. But all the other people in Sookie’s life – Eric
himself, her former lover Bill, her friend and boss Sam – are having
family problems. Eric’s maker shows up with Eric’s ‘brother’ in tow, the
ailing Bill can only be healed by a blood sibling, and Sam’s brother’s
marriage is about to take place... or will it? The furor raised by the
coming out of the two-natured has yet to settle; some people are just
not ready to sit down to dinner with a man who turns into a dog. And
Sookie herself is still recovering from her last ordeal. She’s
definitely improving, physically and mentally, but she’s always going to
have some dark moments now. The werewolves tell her that there have
been strange and ominous passers-by in the Stackhouse woods; now Sookie
is about to come face-to-face with one of her more distant relatives...

What I thought: Well I wanted to think about this book before I figured out what I thought. I really enjoyed this book except the ending. I felt like there was a huge build up then the last couple pages were rushed. I love this series so I just hope this was a build up book for the next one. I do have to say that I think she is setting it up to go in a different direction then the vampires. I don't know if she is going to make the wolves a bigger part or go some other way. I have to say that I hope she doesn't put her back with Alcide.

Speak

What I thought: WOW...This is a book I will never forget! I want to go out and rent the movie now. Melinda went threw one of the worst things in the world and she had no one else to talk to. She is considered a freak in her school, she makes a friend with a girl that is new and has no clue that Melinda is the girl who called the cops and go a bunch of people in trouble but even she walks away to make friends. Leaving Melinda alone, lost and scared all over again.

I really liked how you didn't know what the traumatic event that she went threw until the second half of the book. I knew what happened before I started reading the book and I think it might have taken away from the story a little bit so I won't tell you what it was. This is a book that I got from the library and I might have to go out and buy it so I can read it again and again. I think there are parts of this book that everyone can relate to. I remember times in high school when my friends were mad at me and wouldn't talk to me..You feel like the biggest freak in the world even though it usually only last a couple hours not a whole school year. I felt myself cheering for her and crying with her.

What I though: Well I'm not really sure what I thought of this book. I wasn't a fan of The Hills so I really don't know why I picked this book up. I liked parts of the book and have to say that they tried to make Scarlett unlikeable and she was probable my favorite character. Jane annoyed me with the pity me my friend is hotter then me. Madison was a physio. And Gaby was just kind of there. I like Hannah but she wasn't really around much. Even though I didn't watch the Hills I had an idea of who everyone was in the book.

The Help

What I thought: This was a five star book for me. I really started to question what kind of person I would be if I lived in the South in the 60's. I really hope I would have been a Skeeter and had the guts to stick up to Hilly! I found myself cheering and crying right a long with the characters. It makes me sick that the world used to be like that and I'm really glad I didn't live in those times.

Moon Called

Summary: Mercy Thompson's life is not exactly normal. Her next-door neighbor is a werewolf. Her former boss is a gremlin. And she's fixing a VW bus for a vampire. But then, Mercy isn't exactly normal herself.

My thoughts: I have to say I loved how this book was written. I can't wait to continue this series and see who Mercy picks. I really hope it is Adam, but Sam is a close second. I loved all of the characters even the bad ones. Everyone seemed so life like. Mercy is an average walker (a person that can change into a coyote at will). She was raised with Werewolves. In this book you watch Mercy try to save that local Alpha (leader of the werewolves in the area, Adam) and reunite with her old love of her life (Sam). In the middle of all of the craziness the guys still try to out male each other. Out of all the werewolves Sam is the third highest and Adam is the fourth highest. So on to the story Mercy finds out that someone is creating new werewolves and selling them. While trying to figure everything out Adam's daughter Jesse gets kidnapped and Adam is badly wounded. Mercy has to take him to the Monak (I think that is spelled wrong), Bran which is when it starts getting really crazy.

The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1)

Summary: Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school...again. And that's the least of his troubles. Lately, mythological monsters and the gods of Mount Olympus seem to be walking straight out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life. And worse, he's angered a few of them. Zeus's master lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect.

Now Percy and his friends have just ten days to find and return Zeus's stolen property and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus. But to succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the true thief: he must come to terms with the father who abandoned him; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and unravel a treachery more powerful than the gods themselves.

What I thought: I really enjoyed this book. I have to say that YA books are probable my favorite books to read though. I loved following Percy and his friends as they try to figure out what to do next once they are on their own and no longer have anyone to point them in the right direction. Rick Riordan really did a good job of showing what it is like being a new kid. The feeling of being alone. I really can't think of anything I didn't like about this book.
